Unmatched Real Estate Photography in Round Rock, TX
We've all heard the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words," and in today's digitally-dominant world, that saying is more poignant than ever. In real estate, pictures have a huge impact on whether a home is sold or passed by. That's especially true in a time when prospective homebuyers are less likely to travel in-person to tour a home in their price range.
With more time on their hands to peruse real estate listings, buyers are inundated with all sorts of images, which is why your real estate photos must stand out from the crowd. Once buyers filter through property locations, pricing, nearby school districts, and square footage, they want to flip through photos. If your pictures aren't up to snuff, you can be sure the homebuyer will move to the next listing.
Fortunately, Twist Tours is here to provide you with high-resolution, creative photography for your real estate needs - whether you're listing a brand-new home or selling a property that has been on the market too long.
We believe Twist Tours stands apart because we do more than capturing a visual record of a home. Instead, your Twist Tours real estate photographer develops an emotional bridge between potential buyers and real estate listings by enhancing the home's true character. Every aspect of our real estate photos, drone shots, videos, and tours are carefully engineered to bring your property to life
With a staff of highly-trained, innovative real estate photographers, there's no project too large or "out of the box" for us to handle. And we're not just talking real estate photography in the classic sense - we have successful clients in many different industries, who use our photographers for:
Interior Design
Lighting Design
Office Building
Medical Office
Landscape Design
Event Venue
Apartment Rental

Aerial Video and Photography Services for Real Estate
Nothing showcases your property quite like professional aerial video and photography. With our drone photography services, you can turn lookers into buyers by giving them a unique vantage point of your commercial or residential property. If you're looking to set your real estate business apart from your competition, drone photography and video is the way to go.
Aerial photography adds an extra layer of "special" to your real estate photos, taking your listing from dull to downright beautiful. Sellers want to work with agents willing to entertain creative ways to sell homes. Buyers want to see every nook and cranny of the home they're interested in buying. With aerial real estate photography, you get the best of both worlds.
Benefits of aerial real estate photography and video include:
Property Location
If you're a real estate expert, we bet you're used to hearing the saying "location, location, location." One of the greatest benefits of aerial real estate photography is the chance to see where a home is located with respect to parks, restaurants, and other attractions. If you need to capture the entirety of a property's layout, take to the skies.
Property Accuracy
Taking pictures is one of the most important steps in selling a home. Generally, exterior real estate photos are taken from common locations like driveways, back yards, and on decks. Aerial real estate photography and videography can show a more accurate, robust depiction of a home for sale, giving buyers a more complete picture of the home they're looking to buy.
Tell a Better Story
Excellent storytelling is one of the most reliable keys to real estate sales. On the one hand, buyers want to know exactly where their money will be going when buying a home. On the other hand, sellers want to work with an agent who has more than the typical tools of the trade on hand. When coupled with interactive virtual tours, hiring a Twist real estate videographer in Round Rock, TX can help realtors tell a more captivating story.
Commercial Real Estate Photography Services
Ever considered professional real estate photography for your commercial business needs? Making a first strong impression is an incredible asset to your business. Doing so is equally as important for commercial purposes as it is for residential real estate reasons. With Twist Tours, your prospective clients can access online 3D virtual tours filled with stunning HDR real estate photography to give them a full picture of what you're selling. With our floor plan and room planner tours, you can even implement our real estate photos in your print marketing materials.
But that's just the start. A few additional benefits of commercial real estate photography include:
1.
Give Buyers What They Want:
The Wall Street Journal recently published a piece about the best ways to sell a commercial property. Their research found that buyers spent 60% of their time looking at photos on a property page. Knowing this, you must find creative ways to make your listings and marketing materials stand out. A lack of dazzling, positive imagery could mean you lose out on a sale or a tenant.
2.
More Clicks and Shares:
When prospective buyers or tenants are captivated by a real estate photo, they are very likely to click through to your website. Pictures with the right mix of professionalism and pizzaz are also share-worthy, meaning your commercial property for sale will reach a wider audience.
3.
Get That Great First Impression:
For buyers or tenants to take your commercial property seriously, your real estate images must make a positive impression by being HDR, modern, and beautiful.
Do the Twist
Guess what? At Twist Tours, we love our clients. Not just because of the fantastic relationships we've formed with builders, brokers, owners, designers, agents, and their staff - but because they get it. They know how important a strong first impression can be in the real estate industry. The only thing we love more than meeting new clients is helping them grow their business. If you're ready to get started on more success, we're here to help.

New Amazon facility coming to Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — The Round Rock City Council approved a path forward for a 149-acre Amazon site set to be complete in 2025.
At a meeting Jan. 11, Round Rock planning and zoning staff and Amazon representatives gave their presentations about the project to members of the city council.
The Amazon representative who addressed the council said the facility is expected to exist as two parts: Part A and Part B.
The purpose has yet to be decided for Part B, but Part A is expected to host a last-mile delivery station.
This part of the facility is expected to create 150-200 jobs where employees will sort and prepare packages to go out to customers, said Jessica Breaux, senior manager of economic development for Amazon, during her presentation.
The overall project is expected to be completed sometime in 2025, with construction starting later this year.
The council unanimously approved the municipal services agreement for the site and annexed it within city limits.
The land, near the intersection of CR 172 and McNeil Road, was originally in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Round Rock, a bordering but unincorporated part of the city.
Bradley Dushkin, director of planning and development services for the City of Round Rock, said the project first came onto the city’s radar once Amazon purchased the land in 2021.
He said the economic benefits from the project include the building of jobs and generating property tax revenue for the city.
“There’s going to be some great property taxes that we’ll be able to get out of it. By having this property inside the city limits, we’re able to collect roadway impact fees which we can then put back into our transportation system,” Dushkin said.
The City of Round Rock said it and Amazon “engaged extensively” with the Greater Round Rock West Neighborhood Association to get feedback on the project.
Dushkin said locals expressed concerns about traffic, noise and light pollution.
President of the Greater Round Rock West Neighborhood Association Marybeth Ray said a special Amazon Annexation committee was formed out of neighbors to present their concerns.
Brian Wills was among those who offered input during those feedback meetings.
“We appreciate Amazon coming to the table, I will be the first to acknowledge that they don’t necessarily owe us that, but there wasn’t much movement. We requested that, you know, all outdoor storage of materials and products be prohibited. They weren’t willing to do that,” Wills said.
A spokesperson for Amazon provided a response to those concerns.
“We’re proud of our footprint in Texas and work hard to be a good neighbor in the communities where we operate. There will always be questions before a new building opens, which is why we participate in public forums with local officials and members of the community to answer questions and explain the value Amazon can bring to a community – including good jobs with competitive pay and benefits, like health care from the first day, up to 20 weeks paid parental leave, and prepaid college tuition.”

Arctic air is expected to arrive in Round Rock early Sunday morning, bringing with it a period of sub-freezing temperatures, with the coldest temperatures anticipated on Tuesday morning. Although only trace amounts of freezing precipitation are expected Sunday and overnight into Monday, residents should be aware of the potential for icy conditions, especially on elevated roadways and bridges. The City of Round Rock is taking measures to prepare for the winter event, and reminds residents that now is the time to prepare for winter weather in your household.
City facilities are being readied to ensure core services remain operational in case of power outages, particularly for utilities infrastructure. Bridges and elevated structures are expected to be treated with pre-treat material to prevent ice formation, with crews ready to apply additional treatments like sanding for traction as necessary. The City is focusing its efforts on maintaining access for emergency services and keeping critical infrastructure functional, so motorists are encouraged to follow guidance from local law enforcement and media channels.
Sign up for alerts
Now is an opportune time to register your cell phone number and/or email address with Warn Central Texas to receive emergency alerts from local officials by text, phone and/or email. The program is available in Williamson County and surrounding counties through the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG). Register today at warncentraltexas.org.
If you or anyone you know need some assistance during times of an emergency event, please register them, or yourself, on the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry.
Remember winter weather basics
As always, the City of Round Rock reminds residents to follow the four “P’s” of winter weather safety:
Get familiar with weather vehicle safety
Check local media for up-to-date information before getting on the roads. You can also monitor road conditions by visiting drivetexas.org or calling 1-800-452-9292. If icy conditions materialize during, non-essential travel is discouraged. If you must travel, drive slowly and increase your stopping distance. Watch for downed trees and power lines across roads. If power fails, treat all intersections as four-way stops. If you must travel in rough weather conditions, always keep your gas tank full to avoid ice in the tank and fuel lines. These items could save your life in the case you encounter winter weather on the road:
Know how to report and get updates on power outages
Oncor is the electricity provider in the City of Round Rock. Report power outages through Oncor’s Storm Center website, by calling 888-313-4747 or texting OUT to 66267 if you have registered for My Oncor Alerts. To register for My Oncor Alerts, text REG to 66267. You will receive proactive power outage notifications and status updates all from your phone. (You can also select your contact preferences – email, text or voice alert).
Check your winter emergency supplies
Make sure you have the following basic emergency supplies on hand in preparation for a winter weather event:
If your power goes out, alternative cooking sources that can be used in times of emergency include candle warmers, chafing dishes, fondue pots or a fireplace. Never use charcoal grills and camp stoves indoors due to the threat of carbon monoxide poisoning. If you experience a power outage and are using a portable generator as an auxiliary power source, make sure that the generator is outdoors and not in the garage or in an enclosed patio when in operation. As with any gas powered appliance, it produces carbon monoxide which is odorless. We always recommend that there is a working CO alarm in any house that has gas appliances. If at any point you think you smell gas, act fast — leave the area immediately and from a safe distance call 911 and the Atmos Energy emergency number at 866-322-8667.

That means that the moon will completely cover our view of the sun for a few minutes, called “totality,” creating a miniature sunset and a breathtaking view of the sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona.
During totality, bright stars and planets appear in the sky, the air temperature drops, and animals begin their nighttime routines.
Catch it if you can–the next total eclipse visible from the continental United States won’t be until 2044. Here are some tips to help you host a safe and fun eclipse viewing party.
The total eclipse will be visible over Round Rock in the afternoon of Monday, April 8, peaking around 1:36 p.m.
You can observe the total eclipse anywhere in the path of the eclipse where you have clear skies. Maybe you’ll even want to host a solar eclipse party in a yard or park!
These images show the eclipse’s Path of Totality through Central Texas.
Note: Totality, the total coverage of the sun by the moon, is most exciting part of this eclipse. The length of time in totality will vary according to how close you are to the center of the moon’s shadow.
Round Rock is near the edge of the circle, so our totality lasts just under 2 minutes. Cities closer to the center of the shadow will have totality lasting closer to 4 1/2 minutes.
If you’re in the path of totality, yes! Here is NASA’s guide for eye safety during the phases of the eclipse:
An eclipse is a fascinating thing to see, and many people will want to look at the sun at some point during the eclipse.
Looking directly at the sun will cause permanent eye damage unless you are in the path of totality and look during the brief minutes of totality.
SOLAR SAFETY GLASSES (or filters and lenses) that are ISP 12312-2 compliant are one great way to protect your eyes.
YOU MAY BE ABLE TO REUSE solar safety glasses that you already own. You’ll need to check that they still offer the protection your eyes need.
BE WARY OF OTHER VIEWING TECHNIQUES YOU MAY HEAR ABOUT, such as welding helmets or homemade filters.
Absolutely!
Even if you have a pair of solar safety glasses, you may find it uncomfortable to be looking up at the sun for several hours.
Happily, there are many simple ways to enjoy the eclipse without looking towards the sun.
The easiest way to enjoy the eclipse is simply to notice the small shadows around you, such as those under trees and bushes. Shadows will curve to project images of the sun onto the ground.
But here are other fun techniques to try:
USE A DISCO BALL to splash images of the eclipsing sun all around you. We did!
LET THE SUN SHINE THROUGH SMALL HOLES and look at the pattern on the ground.
MAKE A PINHOLE VIEWER with a cardboard box.
BUILD A SAFE SOLAR VIEWER using lenses to make large images that many people can view at the same time.
We made some using simple plans from the College of Charleston. You’ll need to plan ahead a little, but the results are worth it.
The only danger an eclipse poses is that we are tempted to look directly at the sun to see this unusual sight.
Unless you are looking directly at the sun, it’s a day with the normal safety risks that you would experience anytime you are outside.
In fact, if you have solar safety glasses, you should not wear them unless you are looking at the sun. Solar safety glasses block so much light that they are not safe to wear while you are walking or driving.

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Almost 50 years after it was moved to downtown Round Rock, the historic Palm House was moved back to its original site as the city plans for a new project with the former public library.
The city is planning a $19.5 million project that will add a paseo, or walkway, from Liberty avenue to Main street, and renovate the Griffith building. The building will feature a two-story arts and culture gallery and the Chamber of Commerce will move into the second-floor of the building.
The Chamber of Commerce was operating out of the Palm House, but the house needed to be removed to make room for the paseo. The house was returned to its original place at Old Settlers Park, right across the street from Dell Diamond.
The cost of moving the house is coming out of the hotel and occupancy tax fund, while the cost of the project will come from sales tax revenue and cash the city has on hand from its general self finance construction fund, according to a city spokesperson.
It’s not the first time the city has moved a historic building. In 2018, the city moved the Old Stagecoach Inn because it was in the way of the RM 620 expansion project.
“We’re always looking to see if something needs to be moved to make room for strategic planning,” Sara Bustilloz, a spokesperson with the city of Round Rock, said.
The Palm family was one of the first Swedish immigrants to move into Central Texas. Anna Palm and her six children settled a few miles northeast of the current downtown in the mid-1850s. In 1873, one of Anna’s sons, Andrew, built the Palm House where he raised his eight children.
The Palm family played a key role in developing the young city.
“They were instrumental in getting other Swedish immigrants to move to this area of central Texas,” Elroy Haverlah, the former pastor of the Palm Valley Lutheran Church, explained. Haverlah is the author of Anna’s Journey, a story about the Palm family and other Swedish immigrants.
Their impact can still be seen today. Many people will drive along U.S. 79 every day. That road is also known as Palm Valley road. Also, the vast amounts of land the Palm family owned they eventually donated to the the Palm Valley Lutheran Church. The church sold the land to the city and the Old Settlers Association, which in turn created Old Settlers Park.
“They were good stewards of their land, so today we got hundreds and thousands of people who come out here and enjoy the park,” Haverlah said.
Haverlah believes the Palm House was moved to downtown Round Rock in 1976 so it could be more visible to residents. The house is being placed in almost the exact same spot as it originally was. Haverlah says it will serve as a good reminder to the people who helped grow the town.
“So when I see that house I’m reminded of those people. Not just Anna and her family, but all the pioneers who had to endure a lot of hardships,” Haverlah explained.
