Ben started building computers at the age of 16 at Electronic Parts Outlet. His love of computers continued throughout his entire life. In the last two years he built a very modern AI integrated computer, and he was very proud of himself.
Ben enjoyed playing House Music Loud while he worked on his new home. Ben enjoyed playing Lots of Super Mario Brothers & Zelda games for many years!
Ben and Mom were learning Prompting with AI at the same time, and we were thrilled to share our excitement of Artificial Intelligence. We grew weekly with phone calls, Facetime, and texts.

A $1 billion lagoon-centric mixed-use project in the Austin suburb of Leander was again rejected, following a rare unanimous thumbs-down from City Council.
The second rejection sends the controversial project — whose developers have faced pointed questions over the many setbacks and millions spent to build nothing — back to the drawing board.
Ravi Katta, who was previously an investor in the project, says he took over as the developer, and blamed the delays on permitting snags as well as the pandemic, according to the Austin Business Journal. The project’s current zoning only allows for a small fraction of the full vision for the site. Without the update, iLand can only build 35,000 square feet of the planned 100,000-square-foot minimum worth of commercial space.
The project on a 78-acre site at the corner at Farm to Market Road 2243 and the 183A frontage, was intended to transform Leander into a Central Texas destination.
The second iteration of the iLand Development Group plan looks similar to the first one which was rejected, according to the outlet. The new plan limited multifamily apartment numbers to 1,200 units and made minor pivots to its design and phasing. The project was set to be developed over a 12 year period, and was set to contain the four-acre lagoon, a 275-key hotel and 21 acres of parkland and civic space.
Several members of Leander City Council said that yes, the lagoon could create jobs and have economic benefits for the local community, but still had environmental concerns. They didn’t know whether a lagoon resort development is the best use for the site, and ultimately, don’t think the developers can pull off a project of this magnitude.
ILand is planning to use on-site well water to fill the lagoon, which they claim can produce hundreds of gallons per minute with minimal impact on other local water supply.
The development was initially pitched in 2020. Since that year, the developer has faced missed construction deadlines, allowed liens to stack on each other, and drawn sharp criticism from both locals and elected officials. The liens against iLand totaled around $3 million in May.
As a result of the City Council vote, iLand will be forced to lick its wounds for six months before it can try to amend the agreement again in hopes of having their full vision for the site realized.
