Unmatched Real Estate Photography in Austin, TX
We've all heard the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words," and in today's digitally-dominant world, that saying is more poignant than ever. In real estate, pictures have a huge impact on whether a home is sold or passed by. That's especially true in a time when prospective homebuyers are less likely to travel in-person to tour a home in their price range.
With more time on their hands to peruse real estate listings, buyers are inundated with all sorts of images, which is why your real estate photos must stand out from the crowd. Once buyers filter through property locations, pricing, nearby school districts, and square footage, they want to flip through photos. If your pictures aren't up to snuff, you can be sure the homebuyer will move to the next listing.
Fortunately, Twist Tours is here to provide you with high-resolution, creative photography for your real estate needs - whether you're listing a brand-new home or selling a property that has been on the market too long.
We believe Twist Tours stands apart because we do more than capturing a visual record of a home. Instead, your Twist Tours real estate photographer develops an emotional bridge between potential buyers and real estate listings by enhancing the home's true character. Aerial Video and Photography Services for Real Estate
Nothing showcases your property quite like professional aerial video and photography. With our drone photography services, you can turn lookers into buyers by giving them a unique vantage point of your commercial or residential property. If you're looking to set your real estate business apart from your competition, drone photography and video is the way to go.
Aerial photography adds an extra layer of "special" to your real estate photos, taking your listing from dull to downright beautiful. Sellers want to work with agents willing to entertain creative ways to sell homes. Buyers want to see every nook and cranny of the home they're interested in buying. With aerial real estate photography, you get the best of both worlds.
Benefits of aerial real estate photography and video include:

Property Location
If you're a real estate expert, we bet you're used to hearing the saying "location, location, location." One of the greatest benefits of aerial real estate photography is the chance to see where a home is located with respect to parks, restaurants, and other attractions. If you need to capture the entirety of a property's layout, take to the skies.

Property Accuracy
Taking pictures is one of the most important steps in selling a home. Generally, exterior real estate photos are taken from common locations like driveways, back yards, and on decks. Aerial real estate photography and videography can show a more accurate, robust depiction of a home for sale, giving buyers a more complete picture of the home they're looking to buy.

Tell a Better Story
Excellent storytelling is one of the most reliable keys to real estate sales. On the one hand, buyers want to know exactly where their money will be going when buying a home. On the other hand, sellers want to work with an agent who has more than the typical tools of the trade on hand. When coupled with interactive virtual tours, hiring a Twist real estate videographer in Austin, TX can help realtors tell a more captivating story.

Commercial Real Estate Photography Services
Ever considered professional real estate photography for your commercial business needs? Making a first strong impression is an incredible asset to your business. Doing so is equally as important for commercial purposes as it is for residential real estate reasons. With Twist Tours, your prospective clients can access online 3D virtual tours filled with stunning HDR real estate photography to give them a full picture of what you're selling. With our floor plan and room planner tours, you can even implement our real estate photos in your print marketing materials.
But that's just the start. A few additional benefits of commercial real estate photography include:
1.
Give Buyers What They Want:
The Wall Street Journal recently published a piece about the best ways to sell a commercial property. Their research found that buyers spent 60% of their time looking at photos on a property page. Knowing this, you must find creative ways to make your listings and marketing materials stand out. A lack of dazzling, positive imagery could mean you lose out on a sale or a tenant.

2.
More Clicks and Shares:
When prospective buyers or tenants are captivated by a real estate photo, they are very likely to click through to your website. Pictures with the right mix of professionalism and pizzaz are also share-worthy, meaning your commercial property for sale will reach a wider audience.

3.
Get That Great First Impression:
For buyers or tenants to take your commercial property seriously, your real estate images must make a positive impression by being HDR, modern, and beautiful.

Do the Twist
Guess what? At Twist Tours, we love our clients. Not just because of the fantastic relationships we've formed with builders, brokers, owners, designers, agents, and their staff - but because they get it. They know how important a strong first impression can be in the real estate industry. The only thing we love more than meeting new clients is helping them grow their business. If you're ready to get started on more success, we're here to help.

AUSTIN (KXAN) – An overcast sky along with warm and humid air greeted early risers on this Sunday. Spotty areas of light rain dotted the radar. Nothing was measured.
Most lows fell to the middle to upper 70s. Both Austin reporting stations recorded a low of 78°.
Today’s forecast is for a mostly cloudy sky with a 10% chance of rain, similar to Saturday’s outlook. Some minor clearing will take place this afternoon but it does appear that the clouds will win out again today.
Highs Saturday were a few degrees lower than the forecast with Camp Mabry’s high reaching 90°, 7° below normal. Yesterday was the 18th day of the 19 in July where the high was below normal.
The heat index will reach between 100° and 106° from the interstate eastward, with higher heat indices in Fayette County (106° to 110°). Most Hill Country heat index readings will peak in the middle to upper 90s.
This Week
A ridge of high pressure aloft will be the main weather player during the week. A dry forecast is ahead from Monday to Friday. Most highs will heat up to the mid to upper 90s.
The latest guidance indicates the potential for a tropical disturbance moving across the northern Gulf next weekend. For now, we have a very low chance of rain Friday night to Saturday. It’s too early to suggest this will happen since the disturbance has not developed.
Sahara Dust
There will be a little more of it today and a slightly higher concentration tomorrow. But, the rest of the week looks to be mostly dust-free.

Teddy Swims is an American singer-songwriter. He is known for his creative blends of pop, country, and soul. Swims started his musical career in Georgia in 2011. He blew up in 2019 after he rapped over a track for his friend Addy Maxwell. 2019 is also the year he adopted the stage name “Swims,” which stands for “Someone Who Isn’t Me Sometimes,” referring to his on-stage persona. The same year, he self-recorded his first solo single, “Night-Off,” and was signed with Warner Records before the year ended.
Swims’ most recent album is I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy. It was originally released in 2023 with 10 tracks. Since then, Swims has released two different versions of the same album. Both new versions feature additional tracks. His single “Lose Control” was his first song to peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also made history by becoming the first song to spend 100 weeks on the chart.
Opening for Teddy Swims is Irish singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot. Cian Ducrot is originally from Cork, Ireland, and gained popularity in 2022 after going viral on TikTok. His single “All For You” reached #2 on the Irish Singles Chart. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Ducrot won an award for Best R&B Song after co-writing on SZA’s single “Saturn.” On August 1st, he released his third studio album, Little Dreaming. He opened his set with three new songs, one of them being “Your Eyes” from his new album. Ducrot told the crowd that this was probably the hottest concert he’s ever performed. Notedly, he was wearing a Terry Black’s hat, a well-known local Austin, Texas, barbecue joint.
At about 8:30 PM, Teddy Swims took to the stage. He opened his set with “Not Your Man,” a track from his album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2). He also performed older songs such as “Devil in a Dress” from the EP Sleep is Exhausting (2022) and the single “Bed on Fire” (2021). Before starting “Need You More,” Swims dedicated the new song to the mother of his child. When he sang “Black & White,” he invited one of his backup vocalists, Myles, to perform the part originally sung by Muni Long. While introducing “Small Hands,” Teddy told the crowd that he had yet to make it through this song without crying. “Small Hands” was written about how much he loves his son, and like he said he would, he did, in fact, cry during the performance.
Towards the end of the show, Swims had two fans pull a random letter and number. Each combination corresponded with a different cover the band would play. The song that was decided was “Still the One” by Shania Twain. Swims and his band performed it as if it were their own. Shania would have been proud. As he wrapped the show up, “Your Kind of Crazy” began with Teddy sitting on a toilet. Mid-song, he started throwing “poop” into the crowd, assuming it was a commemorative item of sorts. He performed his top hit “Lose Yourself” before leaving the stage. Swims and his band returned for a three-song encore and closed the set with “The Door.”
Austin's Northcross Mall: A childhood hangout lost to time

AUSTIN, Texas — Ask any long-time Austinite, and they can probably tell you about a beloved business you can't go to anymore. The city's constant changes have closed the doors on many restaurants and stores.
But one spot was a home to both – and a haven for the city's youth – for decades.
Northcross Mall on West Anderson Lane opened in 1975 and was demolished in the mid-2000s. Recently featured in a docuseries about the 1991 "Yogurt Shop Murders," which happened a few blocks away, the mall was once a hotspot for kids and teens growing up in the Capital City.
Now a Walmart and its parking lot take up most of the same space.
A Reddit thread created a few years ago served as a place for Austinites to swap stories about the mall.
"My family would have birthday parties in the food court, go ice skating, play at tilt, wander the mall, ride the train. Takes me back," one commenter said. "I also really miss Cozzoli's [Pizza] with the crumbled, if you will, hamburger they’d put on their pizza."
Another commenter also lamented the lost of the pizzeria.
"Got a pizza the size of me for my bday from Cozzoli’s one year, highlight of childhood...watched 'Titanic' at the movie theater like 5 times when it came out...got my ears pierced at Claire’s," they said, later adding, "Good ‘ol Northcross."
A Facebook post made last year shared photos of the mall in its heyday and was met with more than 100 memories from former mallrats – from time spent at Oshman's sporting goods store to midnight screenings of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "The Song Remains the Same."
In 2007, shortly before Northcross Mall's demolition, a man named Doug Tash revisited the mall to pay his final respects to a childhood hangout. The visit became a short documentary called "Mall Man," uploaded to YouTube in 2020.
"When I first started going to the mall, I was so young. It was the '70s," Doug Tash says at the beginning of the documentary. "I really loved the mall back when I was a kid. It was the only place I could go to get away from my parents."
"It was a whole scene. It was where the youth of Austin would all go and congregate, at that mall," Louis Tash, Doug Tash's brother, says later, standing in front of a sign that reads, "No Wal-Mart! Develop it neighborly. Develop it right."
Shortly after, Doug Tash stands in the middle of the mall's dried-out fountain.
"This is the first time I've ever stood here. I guess it'll be the last," he says. "I guess this is where Walmart's tool section will be."
But before the documentary's end, he also gets wistful, seeming to recognize that sometimes, places are better in memories.
Sitting outside a shuttered Beall's, Doug Tash proclaims, "I guess the best thing about this place was ... my youth."
In 2009, KVUE reported that the mall had been divided in half, with Chaparral Ice and the Norris Conference Center settled into a renovated east side and the Walmart planned for the other side. By 2011, the Walmart had opened.
Today, both Chaparral Ice and the Norris Conference Center still stand behind the Walmart. The shopping center also includes an Anytime Fitness, Guitar Center and a handful of restaurants like Louisiana Crab Shack, Ph?Natic and IchiUmi Sushi & Ramen.

AUSTIN, Texas — Seventeen people are injured after a school bus rolled over near Sandy Creek on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, officials received a call reporting the crash at around 3:15 p.m. According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred in the 22300 block of Nameless Road, near Palamino Ranch Drive and Honeycomb Lane.
A total of 42 children and one adult were on the bus when the crash occurred.
Twelve people – 11 children and the bus driver – were taken to the hospital immediately following the crash. Ten people were taken from the scene, while two more children were transported from the reunification center with minor injuries. In an update on Wednesday night, Leander ISD said 17 people had been taken to the hospital. Two people sustained serious injuries, but all were in stable conditions.
Of those taken to the hospital, some were taken to Dell Children's Center, Texas Children's Hospital North Campus, Dell Children's North Campus and the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the bus was traveling southbound on Nameless Road when it left the roadway on a curve, causing it to roll over.
"We're here in force, and we're supporting our parents," Travis County Chief Emergency Management Coordinator Eric Carter said on Wednesday.
A reunification center was set up at Round Mountain Baptist Church in Leander, and all people who do not need to be taken to the hospital were taken to the church.
Francisca Suarez is a grandmother who was reunited with her grandson at the church.
"I believe the kids don't ... I don't believe they want to go on the bus ... especially my grandson doesn't want to," Suarez said. "It's very sad that this happens on the first day. So much emotion."
According to Leander ISD Superintendent Bruce Gearing, the bus had seatbelts as it was a 2024 model. He also said the campus was mobilizing counseling services to assist students affected by the incident.
KVUE learned that the bus originated from Bagdad Elementary School in Leander. Wednesday was the first day of the new school year for the school.
Gearing sent the following letter to families in the Bagdad Elementary School community Wednesday night:
"Dear Bagdad Elementary Families,
"We have some difficult news to share. This afternoon, bus #750 was involved in an accident on Nameless Road while transporting students after school. First responders, school, and district staff were immediately on the scene, and our staff are with the impacted students and their families.
"As of the latest update, a total of 17 people were transported by Austin-Travis County EMS. Two people sustained serious injuries, but as of now, all individuals with injuries are in stable condition. A reunification site was established and shared with impacted families directly, and all students have been reunited with their families. Our focus remains on student safety.
"This part of our Leander ISD family has been through so much already this summer with the floods. The tragedy this afternoon is really breaking our hearts. We want each of those students and their families to know that our prayers are with them, our thoughts are with them, and we will do everything we can in our power to support them. And we will be here for all of those students who are affected, their friends, and their families.
"We are working closely with Counseling Services to ensure our students and staff are supported. Additional counselors and social workers will be available at Bagdad Elementary on Thursday, Aug. 14, to assist any student in need of support.
"Our counselors remind us how important it is for students to feel safe expressing their feelings. We encourage families to listen with care, offer understanding, and provide reassurance. Together, we can support our students and help them navigate this difficult time.
"Thank you for your patience as we develop further understanding of this situation. Should you need additional support, please do not hesitate to contact Principal de la Garza-Conness and the Bagdad administration team."
DPS said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
