JARRELL, Texas (KWTX) - The Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center is partnering with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse to host a fundraising concert Saturday to help cover the costs of the library’s transition to a new building, after being notified it must vacate its current location by the end of August.

The event, called the Rising Country Stars of Texas Concert, begins at 6 p.m. at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse Arena, located at 1600 County Road 305 in Jarrell.

Rising Texas country artists Bri Bagwell, the Texas Female Artist of the Decade, and Elle Townley, the Texas Country Music Association’s 2025 Young Artist of the Year, are scheduled to perform.

Organizers say proceeds from ticket sales, raffle purchases and sponsorships will go toward moving expenses, road work and a retention pond at a future permanent building site along Interstate 35.

The library is working to transition from its current building to a temporary location while also raising funds to begin infrastructure construction on a permanent facility.

The goal is to raise $100,000 through the event.

Executive Board President for the Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center, Janet Hage, said the library’s programs serve residents across the area, including seniors, veterans, children and individuals with disabilities.

“We are growing astronomically in this area and there are just limited to no resources and Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center actually is providing those resources and services,” Hage said. “It’s important to us that we keep our commitment to our grantors, to our local citizens and the northern Williamson County people who use us so that we can go to the next phase and do our capital funds campaign and actually do the actual infrastructure for our permanent building.”

Hage said the library wants to maintain its relationship with community members who rely on its services and community help throughout the transition.
