EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Game of the Week for week two of high school football was Del Valle vs Franklin.

In a high-stakes matchup at Conquest Stadium, the Del Valle Conquistadores emerged victorious over the Franklin Cougars with a final score of 40-30. Both teams entered the game undefeated, but it was Del Valle who defended their home turf successfully.

The game began with Franklin's Ernie Powers making significant strides, advancing inside the 20-yard line before being pushed out of bounds. Powers continued his momentum, scoring the first touchdown of the game and putting Franklin in the lead.

Del Valle responded with quarterback Jake Fette connecting with Dylan Gonzalez, who broke a tackle before being forced out. Fette then found Abraham Garcia in the end zone, tying the game.

Franklin regained the lead with a field goal by Micah Gonzalez, but Del Valle's Dylan Gonzalez answered with a reverse play, breaking a tackle and scoring to put Del Valle ahead.
