Kyle Girgus
Kyle studied sociology at Texas Tech University and while there picked up a strong passion for photography. He moved to Austin in 2015 working in various fields all while cultivating his photography. A couple years later, Kyle took the leap to become a professional photographer with a focus in real estate. When not photographing architecture, Kyle loves street photography and landscape photography.
How long have you been in the Austin area?
⤜ Been in Austin for 10 years and grew up in San Antonio.
What inspires you?
⤜ People; I love street photography and love capturing people as they are in that moment. People are dynamic and there is something cathartic about pausing that in an image.

Do you have a favorite charity you wish more people knew about?
⤜ C.A.R.E. – Center for Animal Research and Education; they are a North Texas organization that provides homes and medical care for exotic animals in need, particularly big cats.
What’s your hidden talent?
⤜ I am oddly good at recognizing soundtrack music and where it is from.
What’s your favorite thing about being a photographer?
⤜ Being able to share what I see in the world, to the world.

What is your go-to Potluck dish?
⤜ Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers.

What’s something that has surprised you about being a real estate photographer?
⤜ That it would allow me to travel to other states for photo shoots.
