Laura Duncan
Laura was born and raised in Kentucky where her parents were classical musicians in the Louisville Orchestra. Starting her career as a creative early, she sang in the Kentucky Opera and several youth choirs, eventually graduating from the University of Kentucky. She moved to Austin in 2016 because she wanted to “live in the big city” and started working in real estate professionally in 2017. Working in real estate photography has given Laura the opportunity to be creative and do what she loves in a professional setting.

Who inspires you (in general / as an artist / your interpretation)?
⤜ My dad, who is a professional musician. He inspired me to do what I love in life since he always had a career doing what he loved.

⤜ Dinner.
What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?
⤜ STS9.
When you were a kiddo, what did you really want to be when you grew up?
⤜ A famous singer.

Do you have a favorite charity you wish more people knew about?
⤜ Front Row Foundation.
What’s your hidden talent?
⤜ Singing.
What’s your favorite thing about being a photographer?
⤜ Having the opportunity to see so many beautiful homes and I enjoy the creative challenge of shooting new and different properties every day.
Have you ever met anybody famous?
⤜ I wish I had pictures but I have met quite a few, most famous being Bill Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst!
What is your go-to Potluck dish?
⤜ Cheese and charcuterie board because cooking is not my specialty.
How many states // countries have you visited (or lived in!)?
⤜ Israel and France.
What’s something that has surprised you about being a real estate photographer?
⤜ Getting to see the different personalities and decorative styles in the homes I shoot.
What is one of the top items on your Bucket List?
⤜ Swim with the dolphins!
What’s something that you’re really bad at?
⤜ Cooking
What’s one hobby you’d love to get into?
⤜ Becoming a sommelier.
