Hannah Farrell
Hannah Lane Farrell was born and raised in Memphis, TN. After attending boarding school in New England, she continued her education at Boston University’s School of Fine Arts where she studied theatre and photography. She then began her career as a freelance photographer, initially shooting for a few different local publications including Cape Cod Magazine and South Shore Living. Eventually she branched out and also started shooting portraits, events, and houses for real estate and interior designers. About the same time, she discovered her passion for running and decided to run her first 10k race. Because her brother lived in Austin at the time, she chose the Austin Cap10k as the stage of her first long distance performance in running/the art of self torture. Within an hour of arriving, she fell in love with the city and the rest is history. She now lives downtown with her partner, Dean. She is an adventurous yogi, aspiring but often less than talented cook, passionate gardener, speratic singer, and all around animal lover. She likes hiking and taking day trips to Georgetown to visit her mother. Hannah can also be found during her spare time at one of the many Austin watering holes, enjoying the fresh air with family and friends.

⤜ My mother, compassion, kindness, nature, all of them 🙂

When you were a kiddo, what did you really want to be when you grew up?
⤜ A philanthropist or a mermaid.
Your favorite Austin Eatery // Coffee House // Brewery?
⤜ Ramen Tatsuya, Maiko Sushi, Uchi, Backspace Pizza, Cenoté for coffee….Shiners Saloon for “beer”.
Do you have a favorite charity you wish more people knew about?
⤜ I really do like the Hefer Project but I’m most passionate about the Kenya based Save The Elephants charity https://www.savetheelephants.org/ // https://www.heifer.org/
What’s your hidden talent?
⤜ I can wiggle my pinky toe completely by itself. I also speak some French.
What’s your favorite thing about being a photographer?
⤜ Always getting to find and see things in a new way.
Have you ever met anybody famous?
⤜ I once accidentally walked into the middle of a scene Drew Barrymore was filming in Boston (I had my headphones on). Everyone was yelling for me to stop but I didn’t realize what was happening until I was standing right next to her 🤦🏼♀️. It was my fifteen seconds of fame….or shame; take your pick.
What is your go-to Potluck dish?
⤜ Deviled eggs or chocolate chip cookies.

What’s something that has surprised you about being a real estate photographer?
⤜ The exciting and ever evolving technology and the unexpected artistry behind it all.
What is one of the top items on your Bucket List?
⤜ To work with elephants and other endangered species
What’s something—big or small—that you’re really bad at?
⤜ I’m bad at cooking; like REALLY BAD. Luckily my boyfriend can do it or else we would starve.
What’s one hobby you’d love to get into?
⤜ I’m pretty involved with a lot of hobbies but I’d like to do more horseback riding and snorkeling!
